Firehouse Subs rolls out Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub

New limited-time offer inspired by pizza popularity, portability

Firehouse Subs rolled out a Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub nationwide. The limited-time offer embodies the combined flavors of meatball subs, pepperoni pizza and garlic bread, creating a zesty, cheesy profile, according to an announcement.

The Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub starts with Firehouse Subs’ Italian meatballs in marinara, with double the melted provolone cheese of a classic Firehouse Meatball. Then, restaurants top them with crispy slices of pepperoni and Italian seasoning, and serve them up on toasted garlic bread sub roll.

“By taking the popular Firehouse Meatball and adding familiar, comforting flavors, the new sub provides guests with a delicious twist on the craveable subs they know and love us for,” said Jay Miller, Firehouse Subs director of Product Development. Miller says he drew inspiration from the popularity and portability of pizza, particularly during the pandemic.

Firehouse Subs Rewards members will be the first to try the new sandwich in an exclusive digital-only promo during App-Only Access Week (March 29 – April 4, 2021). Also, customers can order for pickup via Rapid Rescue To Go to receive double points on their first purchase during the promotional period.

According to the fast casual, Newsweek’s ranking of America’s Best Loyalty Programs puts Firehouse’s Rewards program in the top spot among sandwich and bagel brands.
