Diner concept grows globally under Fat Brands leadership
Fat Brands’ Johnny Rockets concept is expanding in South America with new restaurants in São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil and Patio Copiapo, Chile. The burger-and-shake diner chain that Fat Brands acquired just six months ago is poised to grow.
Johnny Rockets São José, Santa Catarina and Patio Copiapo, a delivery and to-go store, add to the international portfolio that already includes units in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Indonesia.
“Our other new locations in these countries have been met with outsized demand, which makes this an ideal time to make our irresistible food available to more local consumers in these markets,” said Andy Wiederhorn, chief executive of Fat Brands.
The Johnny Rockets menu is known for its burgers. shakes and fries. The casual-dining chain also serves veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, crispy fries and onion rings, salads and kids meals.
Industry watchers expect Fat Brands to continue to grow the chain aggressively.
