Guide for restaurant operators available
The National Restaurant Association shared updated guidance on eligibility and needed documentation for Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) Grants. The Small Business Administration has indicated that a DUNS number will not be needed for the RRF, nor registration in SAMS, simplifying the process.
A main feature of the RRF will be a new federal program for restaurant owners with 20 locations or less. Restaurant operators will be able to apply for tax-free grants of up to $5M per location—alternately, up to $10M total for multi-unit companies.
Eligible entities will receive an amount equal to their pandemic-related revenue losses less any PPP loans already received. The National Restaurant Association developed a guide to help restaurant operators understand program eligibility. It’s available here.
