Former Inspire Brands executive to oversee procurement, logistics, quality assurance at Bojangles
Bojangles named Katie Radtke vice president of supply chain to oversee the procurement of food and packaging, logistics and quality assurance. Radtke comes to Bojangles from Inspire Brands, the parent of Arby’s, Dunkin’, Sonic, and several other franchise restaurant brands.
At Inspire Brands, Radtke held the role of senior director of global procurement. There she was charged with sourcing efforts for Arby’s in Canada, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s, Rusty Taco, and Sonic. Prior to Inspire Brand’s acquisition of Buffalo Wild Wings, she managed global procurement for the chicken-wing casual-dining chain.
Radtke also worked supply chain positions at Boston Scientific and St. Jude Medical.
She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Latin University of Costa Rica, a law degree from the Free School of Law University in Costa Rica and a master’s degree from Swiss Business School in Zurich.
In her spare time, she serves as vice chair for women in leadership with the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM). In addition, she volunteers with Hispanic Star to support Hispanic-owned small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and independent workers.
Radtke’s arrival at Bojangles as vice president of supply chain follows several notable franchise deals announced by the Charlotte, N.C.-based QSR chain, including a 80-unit agreement with Chaac Foods. These types of deals are a sign that Bojangles is in growth mode, requiring additional resources in procurement.
