Burger chain promotes launch with free Whopper offer
Burger King will debut its hand-breaded Ch’King chicken sandwich in June. BK starts with a hand-breaded chicken filet the QSR chain says is crispy outside and juicy on the inside. Then restaurants serve it on a toasty, potato bun with crisp pickles and a signature sauce that has a savory profile.
To promote the launch, BK will offer guests who order the Ch’King on the BK app or website a free Whopper through June 20.
The BK Ch’King comes after two years of menu development and surely borrows inspiration from its sister concept, Popeyes. The Louisiana-born chicken chain has had tremendous success with its own Chicken sandwich, experiencing incredible demand.
Burger King’s new chicken sandwich was previously announced in February.
“Our guests said it best, our hand-breaded Ch’King sandwich is our greatest yet,” said Ellie Doty, chief marketing officer, Burger King North America. “We said we would create a delicious hand-breaded chicken sandwich that was worth the wait, we just didn’t anticipate that it would turn out quite this good.”
The nationwide launch will take place June 3.
