CPK adds focaccias, new salad, Honey Bee, Avocado Super Green pizzas to menu

California Focaccias bolster selection of shareable dishes

California Pizza Kitchen added California Focaccias, a Crispy Artichoke Salad and California-inspired pizza limited-time offerings. The new focaccias build on the popularity of the traditional, oven-baked bread, while the Crispy Artichoke Salad reflects the essence of the incoming summer season.

The Crispy Artichoke Salad is a lively mix of artichoke hearts served with whipped goat cheese, wild arugula and parmesan tossed in CPK’s champagne vinaigrette.

The California Focaccia lineup includes the Spicy Honey Bee, which is topped with spicy baby greens, shaved parmesan, Mediterranean herbs and extra virgin olive oil; and the veggie-forward Smashed Avocado, with avocado, baby greens, fresh basil, chili and toasted sesame seeds.

There’s also the Malibu, which features whipped goat cheese and baby greens. California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is banking on the shareable nature of the new focaccia items.

The Los Angeles, Calif.-based pizza chain also added a new Spicy Honey Bee Pizza and vegan-friendly Avocado Super Green Pizza for a limited time.

“We’ve added flavors and textures like red chili honey on spicy Capicola ham to veggie-forward smashed avocado and baby greens – continuing to leverage the latest trends with a creative, California twist on the small plates category,” said Brian Sullivan, SVP of Culinary Innovation at CPK.
