Thirty-six dark-kitchen locations enabled with Qu’s KitchenUP
Genghis Grill has launched virtual concept Stir Fry Chef in partnership with Qu. The order management solution from Qu facilitated the rollout of 36 locations in less than two months.
According to data cited by Bethesda, Md.-based Qu, 50 percent of enterprise brands will introduce a ghost, host or cloud kitchen this year. The market size of ghost kitchens, it goes on to say, will reach $1T by 2030.
Using KitchenUP, Qu’s ghost kitchen platform, Genghis Grill’s launch of Stir Fry Chef was shortened to less than 8 weeks from the typical six months.
“Now more than ever restaurant operators need better digital-first options for expanding their business,” said Amir Hudda, chief executive of Qu. “KitchenUP provides the speed and flexibility for entrepreneurial brands to creatively build any kitchen concept without the added stress of technology strangleholds.”
The single menu and single tablet solution, allows cross-channel, cross-brand menus, orders, management, and reporting to be centralized in one place. Through the solution, Qu’s announcement suggests ghost-kitchen deployment can be completed in a matter of weeks versus months.
“Speed was a key priority, and we felt very confident that Qu had a solution and a collaborative approach that would enable us to deploy quickly and reach our goals,” said Doug Willmarth, chief brand officer of Genghis Grill.
Willmarth is working with Qu to launch a native online ordering system for Stir Fry Chef, including a website, so that the virtual concept can establish a direct connection with guests without third-party ordering.
