Kitchen United partners with Camile Thai to grow presence in United States

Partnership to speed roll out of new kitchens in Austin, Chicago River North, Pasadena

Kitchen United, a provider of cloud kitchens, has partnered with Camile Food Group to expand the Camile Thai UK brand in the United States. Via Kitchen United MIX, Camile Thai will land in Chicago for delivery and carryout orders. Camile Thai’s plant-forward dishes will be available out of the Chicago Loop location of Kitchen United.

Since opening its first restaurant in 2010, Camile Thai has grown to 40 locations in the UK and Ireland. The company’s adoption of technology, as well as the hot food at home delivery model, has led to serving over 10,000 health-forward meals everyday to consumers across its system.

By using Kitchen United’s platform and partnering with restaurants through a licensed model, Camile Thai will grow aggressively in the US. This year, new locations will open in Austin, Chicago River North, and Pasadena.

“The rise of the on-demand economy has driven a monumental shift in traditional brick-and-mortar restaurant service,” said Brody Sweeney, Camile Thai chief executive. “Last year saw the most significant adoption of technology in our industry’s history with volume digital food ordering and delivery at its core, and Camile Thai has been a first-mover in Europe. Additionally, we offer operator partners a flexible franchise model to position them for sustained success.”
