Marketing-tech platform Slice names Jayant Mittal CFO

Ex-Amazon exec will help propel Slice into next stage of growth

Slice, a marketing tech platform for pizzerias, has named Jayant Mittal chief financial officer. Mittal will help grow the company with his experience in tapping business opportunities and revenue sources.

“We are excited to have Jayant join Slice. His broad financial and strategic experience, particularly his understanding of how technology is reshaping all categories, will be an incredible asset to our company,” said Ilir Sela, founder and chief executive of Slice. “The business is at an exciting inflection point and I’m confident Jayant will play an integral role as we enter this next stage of growth and scale to over $1 billion in annual pizza sales on Slice.”

Most recently, Mittal worked for Amazon as director of worldwide corporate development. There, he was in charge of corporate development functions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. His four years in that role drove growth into advanced tech, including robotics and autonomous driving, and in fintech and payments.

Mittal also served on European food-delivery company Deliveroo’s Board of Directors, representing Amazon’s interests. Before arriving at Amazon, he also worked for GenPact, Credit Suisse and i2 Technologies.

“Ilir has established a strong vision of empowering independent pizzerias and I look forward to partnering with the Slice team to further deliver on its mission and take Slice to the next level,” said Mittal.”
