Salad offering expected to heat up menu, summer visits for chicken QSR chain
Zaxby’s introduced a new Southwest Zalad to its salad lineup. The made-to-order salad features mixed greens, topped with sliced Roma tomatoes, cheddar and jack cheeses, fire-roasted corn, crunchy Santa Fe tortilla strips and Texas Toast. The Southwest Zalad is headlined by a new, limited-time Southwest Ranch dressing, with bold and creamy flavor, and grilled, or hand-breaded chicken.
“Our Southwest Zalads are prepared with fresh ingredients every day, something our customers can taste with every bite,” said Joel Bulger, Zaxby’s chief marketing officer. “Our commitment to fresh and quality ingredients brings out the full flavor of the Southwest in one big Zalad bowl.”
The Athens, Ga.-based restaurant chain is known for its Chicken Fingerz and wings made in nine different sauces. Zaxby’s Signature Sandwich and limited-time complementary Shareables including Fried White Cheddar Bites, Zaxby’s famous Crinkle Fries, and its lightly-breaded Fried Pickles have also been popular on the menu.
The Southwest Zalad goes for $8.59 at participating restaurants and pricing may vary.
Zaxby’s operates and franchises more than 900 units in 17 states.
