Bojangles launches Bo’s Chicken Sandwich
Chicken QSR aims to battle in chicken sandwich wars with hand-breaded sandwich
Bojangles launched a new sandwich, Bo’s Chicken Sandwich, that it says is “crispy, juicy and packed with flavor.” The Charlotte, N.C.-based chicken QSR is the latest limited-service chain to launch or reformulate its chicken sandwich, following similar moves by franchises like Zaxby’s, Burger King and McDonald’s.
Bojangles starts with a marinated chicken breast, hand-breaded with buttermilk coating and the chain’s own blend of spices. Restaurants then top the breast with a layer of creamy, zesty mayonnaise and layer on thick-cut dill pickles. The Bo’s Chicken Sandwich comes inside a toasted, buttered bakery bun.
”Bojangles knows a thing or two about delicious, perfectly flavored chicken served right, so who better to give fans a chicken sandwich that is sure to please,” said Chef Marshall Scarborough, vice president of menu and culinary innovation for Bojangles. “And we can say with confidence that Bo’s Chicken Sandwich is so cluckin’ good you know it could only be Bojangles.”
The quick-service chain offers the Bo’s Chicken Sandwich for $3.99 at participating restaurants. Combo meals with one fixin’ and a drink included are also available for an upgrade.
Bojangles its featuring its own apparel lineup, and customers can celebrate the brand’s food “so good you could put it on a T-shirt” at its online store.
“Our team had a blast perfecting this sandwich, and we can’t wait for you to try it for yourself,” added Scarborough
