Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers transitions Scott Redler to CXO role

Redler co-founded chain with business partners in 2002

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers named Scott Redler, co-founder and former COO, chief experience officer. Redler fared prominently in the launch of the Freddy’s Frozen Custard chain in 2002 and served as chief operating officer for the past 19 years.

Based on his 45 years of restaurant industry experience and his work in developing over 20 different concepts, Redler is a “sought-out” industry professional, said the chain. A 2020 IFMA Silver Plate Award recipient, Redler currently serves on the National Restaurant Association’s Board of Directors as treasurer.

Known for its cooked-to-order Steakburgers and frozen custard, Freddy’s also serves American-style quick treats, including Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries paired with Freddy’s Famous Fry Sauce.

“Who better than Scott to continue the work of providing our guests with a truly memorable Freddy’s experience?” said Chris Dull, president and chief executive. “As co-founder, Scott created Freddy’s alongside his partners, and it is a privilege to have his expertise focused on ensuring the delivery of the very best experience for our franchisees, team members, and guests.”

A Thompson Street Capital Partners portfolio company as of March 2021, Freddy’s has grown to more than 400 locations in the United States.

“In light of our continued surge in franchise growth and ongoing success systemwide, this new role falls naturally into the progression of the company,” said Redler, now serving as CXO. “I look forward to strengthening franchisee relationships, continuing our unique culture and doing things ‘The Freddy’s Way’ by delivering an exceptional brand experience to our guests.”
