Chipotle Mexican Grill adds Smoked Brisket to US, Canadian menus for limited time

Rewards members to receive early access starting September 21

Chipotle Mexican Grill will roll out its Smoked Brisket for a limited time with early access to Chipotle Rewards members. The US and Canadian launch occurs first for loyalty members, followed by in-restaurant access and then third-party delivery. Chipotle’s Smoked Brisket has been a top requested item, revealed the Mexican-style, fast-casual chain.

Chipotle’s third new product launch in 2021

The beef is smoked tender, charred on the grill and seasoned with Chipotle’s combination of Mexican spices, including fire-roasted jalapenos and chipotle chili peppers. The meat-protein used is sourced as a Chipotle Responsibly Raised beef.

“This isn’t your standard brisket experience,” said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer. “We’ve created a differentiated Smoked Brisket recipe that is authentic to our menu and pairs flawlessly with our real ingredients.”

Chipotle tested Smoked Brisket in Cincinnati, Ohio and Sacramento, Calif. using its stage-gate process. Before the product became its third new product launch in 2021, stage-gate allowed for analyzing customer feedback and vetting the product in a real-world scenario. This year, Chipotle also launched Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice for a limited time in January and debuted the Hand-Crafted Quesadilla in March.

Smoked Brisket free delivery

Starting today, September 21, 2021. Chipotle Rewards members will have early access. General in-store access in the United States and Canada begins September 23.

Customers can order via third-party delivery services starting September 25.


In addition, Chipotle is offering a $0 delivery fee to guests who order Smoked Brisket via the Chipotle app or on its websites ( and from September 27 through October 3, 2021.
