All-day coffee offered to parents, caregivers during National Coffee Day
Panera Bread launched a campaign to promote its unlimited coffee subscription while recognizing parents and caregivers. The St. Louis-based bakery-cafe chain will offer free, unlimited coffee all day to parents and caregivers on September 29, 2021, which is National Coffee Day. In addition, it kicked off the giveaway of a gallon-sized bottle it calls the Jump Start Jug.
Three free, all-day coffee provides customers an example of what it’s like to have a My Panera+ $8.99 per month unlimited coffee subscription, noted the fast casual.
According to Panera’s survey, 50% of parents indicate they need more than one cup of coffee to be the star parent they are and 10% of parents need to drink more than four cups of coffee to handle the business of their lives.
Panera Bread will also offer its reward members a chance to sign up for a My Panera+ coffee subscription by October 1, 2021 and receive three months free of dues (October-December).
“Whether you are toddler parents, tween parents, teenage parents, older parents, foster parents, tired parents, stressed parents or happy parents, you’ve had the realization that it’s going to take more than one cup of coffee to get you through certain days,” said Eduardo Luz, Panera’s chief brand & concept officer. “We are excited to celebrate parents this National Coffee Day by giving them something they can really appreciate: unlimited coffee from Panera.”
In a nod to social media feeds featuring oversized drinking containers, Panera has created the Jump Start Jug for frequent, non-stop refueling. Also, from September 23 to September 29, which is National Coffee Day, parents and caregivers can enter for a chance to win 1 of 450 Jump Start Jugs. Customers can enter to win the free jug at jumpstartjug.com.
Part of Panera Brands, a coffee-chain portfolio of JAB Holding Company, Panera Bread operates and franchises 2,120 bakery-cafe locations in the United States and Ontario, Canada.
