Jollibee readies opening at Pembroke Lakes Square, Pembroke Pines, Florida

Third restaurant in state marks first location in South Florida region

Jollibee is readying an opening September 29 in Pembroke Pines, Fla., the Philippine chicken chain’s first in the South Florida region and third in the state. The Pembroke Lakes Square shopping center location, off 11029 Pines Boulevard, will introduce the QSR chain’s fried chicken and other culturally-inspired dishes.

The menu will feature Chickenjoy (Original or Spicy), which is Jollibee’s signature fried chicken, available in original or spicy, and handbreaded to provide a crispy exterior and a juicy, marinated interior. The chicken is paired with a side of savory gravy. The West Covina, Calif.-based QSR also serves up the Original Jollibee Chickenwich, which is a slow-marinated, handbreaded chicken breast fillet, spread with umami mayo and served on a toasted brioche bun. The spicy Chickenwich comes with sriracha mayo and jalapeños.

A side dish of Jolly Spaghetti comes with a sweet-style sauce, loaded with chunky slices of savory ham and hotdog, topped with a heavy-handed sprinkle of cheese. For dessert, Jollibee offers a Peach Mango Pie and real Philippine mangoes

“Not only are we thrilled to finally bring our Chickenjoy and other Jollibee favorites to our many loyal fans who call South Florida home, but we also can’t wait to introduce our brand to curious newcomers who want to experience the great-tasting food, happy moments, and the warm and friendly service that Jollibee is known for,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, business group head, Honeybee Foods Corporation dba Jollibee. “Pembroke Pines not only offers a central location and excellent accessibility to both Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but it also boasts a close-knit and friendly community, which has made it one of (the) area’s top residential destinations—and the perfect place to open our very first South Florida location.”

Jollibee’s Pembroke Pines restaurant—its 53rd store in the United States—will follow openings in Jacksonville and Tampa. The chain’s global portfolio exceeds 1,400 restaurants spanning the Americas, Asia, as well as the Middle East and Europe.

The Jollibee Pembroke Pines will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with seating available for indoor dining.
