New VP to help grow the brand and expand its visibility
The parent of Peter Piper Pizza named Genaro Perez vice president of Marketing and Strategy for the brand. In his new position, Perez will augment Peter Piper’s brand presence as part of the larger CEC Entertainment group. In addition, he will work with the CEC senior leadership team to support the pizza chain’s ongoing expansion.
Most recently, Perez oversaw brand marketing, corporate communications, and innovation strategies for P.F. Chang’s globally. Prior to P.F. Chang’s, he served in several roles at Brinker International working for Chili’s brand initiatives in the regions of Latin America, Middle East, Mexico, Asia, and South America.
“It’s an exciting time to be a part of the beloved Peter Piper Pizza brand,” said Perez. “The first Peter Piper Pizza opened in 1973 and since then we have grown to more than 100 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, offering made-from-scratch dough and the freshest ingredients in our pizzas, reason why the brand is so entrenched in the hearts of our guests.”
Perez’s experience in technology, hospitality, retail and non-profit industries will give Peter Piper a boost. He also serves as a board member for a non-profit charter school in Arizona serving the underprivileged children in central Phoenix. He hails from Mexico City, graduating from SMU’s Cox School of Business.
CEC Entertainment, the parent of Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza and, Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings, a delivery-only concept, operates and franchises 114 Peter Piper units in the United States and Mexico.
“I am energized by the wonderful people and teams that have been part of the evolution and growth of this amazing brand,” added Perez.
