Royal Perks members have early access to limited-time Chicken Nuggets starting October 6
Burger King announced a pilot in three cities to test Impossible Nuggets Made from Plants. The quick-service burger chain said the new nuggets have a golden-brown crispy breading on the outside and are juicy within. The Yum Brands subsidiary will also roll out Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets nationwide, providing early access to its loyalty members.
Three-city Impossible Nuggets test
The markets of Des Moines, Iowa, Boston, Mass. and Miami, Fla. will be the first BK locations to serve Impossible Nuggets made from plants beginning October 11. Guests can order them in quantities of 8 pieces with a choice of dipping sauce. Burger King also noted it will be the first global QSR chain to test Impossible’s plant-based nuggets.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve teamed up with Impossible to make waves in the industry. In 2019, we became the first quick-service restaurant to serve the award-winning, plant-based Impossible patty and offer the iconic Impossible Whopper,” said Ellie Doty, chief marketing officer, Burger King North America. “So, it’s only fitting we’re the first global QSR to test the Impossible Nuggets. We’re excited to hear what our guests in the test markets think of this latest innovation.”
Royal Perks Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets access
In addition, the Miami, Fla.-based QSR will roll out limited-time Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets nationwide. Made with white meat chicken, with added, fiery ghost pepper, the nuggets are said to dial up the heat.
Royal Perks members will have early access to the Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets in the BK app starting today, October 6, 2021. All other customers will be able to order them starting October 11.
Burger King operates and franchises 18,700 restaurants globally, with overwhelming majority owned by franchise partners.
