National Pizza Month celebration also includes $8 second-meal take-home pizza offer
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) began a promotion to give away more than 20,000 Take & Bake pizzas as part of a National Pizza Month (October) celebration. In addition, it launched a Take & Bake pizza offer of $8 when guests add the to-go pizza to a dine-in meal.
From October 25 to October 26, 2021 only, CPK will offer one free Take & Bake pizza to each the first 65 guests, at its locations, who spend $50 or more on a dine-in meal, before taxes and gratuity. Customers can choose from a Traditional Cheese, Pepperoni, or The Original BBQ Chicken, while supplies last.
Guests that don’t qualify for the free pizza offer, can take home a second (Take & Bake) meal for $8 after dining in, which is the second promotion the pizza chain is offering during National Pizza Month.
For CPK, the opportunity to significantly penetrate the Take & Bake pizza market is one that is too good to pass up. And this is another way the Los Angeles-based restaurant chain can put the spotlight on its home-preparation offering and make inroads into the market.
“Our guests are just as passionate about hot and fresh pizza as we are, but some guests may not be aware that we also offer the best take-home pizza experience. To give new and existing guests an opportunity to try it out, we’re excited to give away 20,000 delicious Take & Bake pizzas,” said Jim Hyatt, chief executive of California Pizza Kitchen. “Our team of world-class chefs has created something special, and we can’t wait to see what our guests think.”
The casual-dining chain says its Take & Bake pizzas take only seven minutes to prepare, and that they use the same “superior ingredients” that are used to create pizzas in-restaurant. CPK’s most popular varieties, including The Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage, Thai Chicken Pizza, and The Works; in addition to 11 other options, are available on the Take & Bake pizza menu. These come in a choice of CPK’s hand-tossed dough or gluten-free Cauliflower Crust.
