Cheezy promotion includes merch drop: shirt engineered to help clean up Cheetles, cheezy sauce
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar rolled out Cheetos Wing Sauce- and Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Wing Sauce-tossed Boneless Wings, coated in crunchy Cheetos, and also Cheetos Cheese Bites. The new, limited-time cheezy additions were inspired by its online-only brand, Cosmic Wings. They are available for both dine-in and via Applebee’s To Go at participating US locations
The casual-dining chain also dropped a Shirtkin to go with the latest Cheetos-inspired offering. The accessory offers customers “Cheetle-wicking technology” and a napkin-like fabric to wipe their saucy hands clean after indulging in the Cheetos Boneless Wings and Wing Bites.
Glendale, Calif.-based Applebee’s will also surprise fans on social media with a DM to offer them a Shirtkin. The DMs will be sent to “superfans” who engage actively with the brand, announced the restaurant chain.
“The unique pairing of Cheetos with fan-favorites like wings and cheese bites is a match made in cheesy heaven, and we can’t wait for all of our guests to have a bite,” said Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer at Applebee’s.
Yashinsky added, “With wings being one of our most popular meals among guests, we know this exclusive menu sprinkled in Cheetos dust will be a huge hit. I suggest pairing it with our new MTN DEW Dark Berry Bash for the perfect combo!”
