Wings and Rings debuts S’mores Funnel Cake Fries, returns Blueberry BBQ sauce

Two holiday cocktails also land on the holiday menu

Wings and Rings introduced S’mores Funnel Cake Fries, expanded its holiday menu and returned its popular Blueberry BBQ sauce. The sports restaurant and bar chain is rolling out these items for a limited time.

The S’mores Funnel Cake Fries headline the new, holiday menu. After testing the fries and smores at six of the restaurant chain’s locations, Wings and Rings found the combination of fries and smores were popular with guests and generated word-of-mouth. The limited-time offering starts with indulgent funnel cake fries topped with melted marshmallows, Cinnamon Toast Crunch crumbles and chocolate sauce.

The Blueberry BBQ sauce returns as an option. Customers can order it with the Wings and Rings’ signature chicken sandwich and wings. Introduced this July, the sauce returns to the 85-unit casual-dining chain just months later.

A sweet and spicy blend of blueberry and chipotle BBQ flavor, the just-returned sauce offers medium heat and versatility. To further promote it, Wings and Rings launched a Blueberry BBQ Chicken Ringer. It includes a beer-battered chicken breast, topped with spicy slaw, candied pecans, and dried cranberries.

“Our guests were delightfully surprised with the Blueberry Chipotle BBQ sauce when we launched it back in the summer,” said Diane Matheson, Wings and Rings vice president of marketing. “We’re excited to welcome back the same positive response we received months ago, and we’ve already generated a ton of attention from something as simple as a new sauce.”

In addition, two newly-added, signature cocktails debut as part of Wings and Rings’ holiday menu. A classic old fashioned, made with Old Forester 86 Bourbon, lands at the bar, as well as peach whiskey smash made with classic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.

Limited-time, seasonal items will be available through December 31, 2021.
