Orange Szechuan temporarily becomes 12th sauce on wings-chain’s menu
Wingstop Restaurants debuted an Orange Szechuan sauce for a limited-time. The new sauce includes mandarin orange, mixed with soy and traditional Szechuan peppers. Dallas-based Wingstop says the just-released menu addition provides a “mouth-watering tangy citrus sweetness.”
What’s more, Wingstop Orange Szechuan landed at restaurants nationwide.
“Orange Szechuan was a trending flavor request from our guests and listening to what they’re craving is always part of our innovative approach,” said Marisa Corona, Wingstop chief growth officer.
Furthermore, Wingstop Orange Szechuan sauce adds to the fast-casual wing chain’s flavor line of 11 bold and creative flavors. Sauced and tossed, cooked-to-order classic wings, boneless wings, bone-in thighs, and Thigh Bites form the core of the brand’s chicken protein selections.
Corona added, “Our unique Wingstop take on Orange Szechuan creates a sweet and spicy flavor profile inspired by the most authentic ingredients. Whether enjoyed alone or as part of a meal with one of our signature sides, like freshly cut seasoned fries, our Orange Szechuan wings and thighs will create a fun new flavor experience. We look forward to offering new and exciting flavors like Orange Szechuan for our guests to enjoy.”
Founded in 1994, Wingstop consists of 1,650 company and franchised locations globally. In the past decade, the chain has found success in expanding its menu, implementing quality consistency and expanding digital ordering.
