Patrick Hagerty promoted to PFG EVP, chief commercial officer
Performance Food Group (PFG) promoted Craig Hoskins to president and chief operating officer, charged with PFG’s Foodservice and Vistar operations. PFG also promoted Patrick Hagerty to the role of EVP and chief commercial officer. The expansion of their roles is part of a realignment of the company’s reporting structure. It will now better match PFG’s strategy for growth across business units, the broadline distributor announced.
After the promotions of Hoskins and Hagerty, they will continue to report to George Holm, chairman and chief executive of PFG.
Craig Hoskins, president, chief operating officer
“I am excited to announce a new operating management structure for PFG,” said Holm. “Over the past several years, our company has been transformed through strategic acquisitions and organic expansion into new channels and lines of business. This new structure aligns the organization with our strategic vision to capture cross-channel growth opportunities. I am excited to have Craig and Pat’s experience, knowledge and leadership represented in these important roles as we embark on our next phase of growth.”
Hoskins has served as EVP and president & CEO of Foodservice for the past three years. Prior to this role, he held the role of president & CEO of PFG Customized Distribution and SVP of PFG for seven years.
In 1990, Hoskins’ career with PFG began with a company that would become Vistar. There, he rose through the ranks in several different functional groups, across marketing, sales, purchasing, and operations.
“Craig has been a strong leader for PFG and a strong voice for our industry, serving as a board member and current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Foodservice Distributors Association,” Holm noted. “Throughout his career with us he has helped PFG grow across multiple businesses, and I am looking forward to his partnership as he oversees our operating divisions.”
Patrick Hagerty, EVP, chief commercial officer
With the added role of chief commercial officer, Hagerty continues to be a key player on the PFG senior leadership team. He has served as EVP of PFG and chief executive of Vistar since 2018. Prior to that position, he held the role of SVP of PFG and president & CEO of Vistar. Hagerty also served as vice president and chief operating officer of Merchandising.
In 1994, Hagerty’s career with PFG began at Multifoods Distribution Group. That company became Vistar in 2002 and Performance Food Group in 2008. Well-respected in food industry circles, he served as the chairman of the board for the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) in 2017. NAMA is the trade association of the vending and office coffee service industry.
The promotions of Hoskins and Hagerty take effect January 3, 2022.
