White Castle debuts Spicy Joe Slider, Sloppy Fries with Fat Joe

Joenuary brings all things Joe to White Castle promotion, special offers

White Castle and hip-hop artist Fat Joe partnered to celebrate the new Spicy Joe Slider and Sloppy Fries, and feature its original Sloppy Joe Slider and Smoky Joe Slider. The hamburger-slider chain and Grammy-nominated entertainer will promote the items all month long during “Joenuary.” Coincidentally, Fat Joe grew up visiting his local White Castle in his native Bronx.

To create the Sloppy Fries, restaurants top White Castle’s signature crispy crinkle melty cheese and its signature Sloppy Joe sauce.

“Our Sloppy Joes are back, and that means it’s time to embrace the sloppy life,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “We’re excited that Fat Joe is helping us announce the return of our Sloppy Joe and Smoky Joe Sliders and introduce our new Spicy Joe Slider and Sloppy Fries.”

All about Joes

The Sloppy Joe Slider is priced at $0.99 and packs the flavor of its non-slider cousin. White Castle restaurants prepare the menu item with lean ground beef, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers mixed with a sweet-and-tangy sauce. Raising the bar, the Smoky Joe Slider adds smoked cheddar cheese and crispy onions to the Sloppy Joe Slider recipe.

Now, the White Castle Spicy Joe Slider packs a kick by adding a spicy slice of jalapeno cheese and jalapeno crisps to the Sloppy Joe Slider. What’s more, through February 19, the Columbus, Ohio-based quick-service chain is also offering White Castle’s Sloppy Joe family. This Joe 6-pack allows customers to mix and match the White Castle Spicy Joe Slider, original Sloppy Joe and Smoky Joe Slider for $6.

Joenuary promotion, Special offers

Plus, White Castle also launched two special offers. Craver Nation fans (loyalty members) can obtain a free featured slider through the Craver Nation app. The QSR also deployed a limited-time 20% offer on the app for purchases.

In addition, the hamburger-slider chain will promote Joenuary on its social media channels, it also announced. The month-long campaign will include Joe-inspired memes and trivia as well as original “joetry” (poetry) and “joekes” (jokes).

Fat Joe commented, “White Castle was a big part of my childhood. I always enjoyed eating their Sliders with my friends and family, so it’s a full-circle moment to partner with them all these years later in an unprecedented way. I’m excited to introduce new additions to the menu and share some other surprises so we can start the new year off right.”
