Dine Brands will open its first franchise IHOP restaurant in the Caribbean in Nassau, The Bahamas late this year. The opening is the first of sixteen restaurants will open in the next few years as part of a new accord with Burton Rodger’s Bahamas Limited. This is the first franchise presence in the Caribbean for Dine Brands.
Nassau, The Bahamas expansion milestone deal
As it expands to Nassau, Dine Brands has big plans for its IHOP brand, which has a menu that translates well across islands and continents. IHOP’s company growth in Puerto Rico paved the way for this deal with Bahamas Limited and the opening of the Nassau IHOP.
William Urrego, regional vice president of Franchise Operations for Dine Brands Global, commented, “We are excited to bring IHOP to the English-speaking Caribbean islands. We’ve seen success in Puerto Rico and believe guests in this new market are sure to fall in love with the brand’s world-famous pancakes and familiar comfort foods.”
The new Nassau IHOP will become a casual dining gathering place that location will be a casual dining space for guests to come together and enjoy IHOP’s signature menu in addition to special items for children and seniors, and local breakfast favorites.
International markets prime opportunities for IHOP brand
Added Urrego, “The Caribbean is an important growth market for Dine Brands, and The Providence’s well-developed tourism infrastructure and recent large-scale hotel and resort investments, as well as shopping center developments, help position it as the perfect location for IHOP’s first restaurant in the Island.”
Recently, Dine Brands has focused on international expansion in The Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
