Walk-On’s Atlanta office to debut as chain makes key hires, promotions

Finance, analytics, tech will mainly be support roles housed in new office

Sports-bar brand Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux will open an office in Atlanta to support its ongoing growth. Currently, Walk-On’s tallies 61 units as part of its portfolio with another 100 restaurants in the development pipeline. The company will place finance, analytics, and technology positions at Walk-On’s Atlanta office, led by its resident chief financial officer.

While the company continues to be headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., Atlanta will be home to a cadre of finance, analytics and tech specialists. So far, two pivotal hires will work out of Walk-On’s Atlanta office. Jared Hinshaw, who was named vice president, IT, will be located there. So, too, will be John Stack, Walk-On’s new vice president, financial planning & analysis.

Previously, Hinshaw worked at Inspire Brands, where he served as senior director, IT PMO. In that position, he oversaw digital and data portfolios for Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s, Sonic, Dunkin, and Baskin-Robbins.

Stack comes from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where he held the role of director, Technology Business Management, for two years. Before IHG, he served as director, Analytics & Finance for MidAmerican Energy Services.

What’s more, the following Walk-On’s executives received promotions at the close of 2021:

  • Jairo Gualdron:vice president, Finance
  • Kelly Parker: senior director, Franchise Relations
  • Eric Kindon: senior director, Construction
  • Cody Vercher: director, Franchise Operations

Furthermore, last summer, Walk-On’s named Luke DeRouen, who previously held marketing roles at Inspire Brands’ Arby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings, chief marketing officer. The sports-bar chain also recently appointed John Gordon as director, Real Estate.
