Fast-casual brands roll out three new seasonal items each, including Saladworks Braised Beef Quesadilla
Saladworks rolled out a Warm Braised Beef Taco Fiesta, Mexican Meatball Soup and online-order-only Braised Beef Quesadilla. The menu initiatives are part of parent WOWorks’ introduction of 12 new menu items across its brands during winter and early spring. At Frutta Bowls, the Cacao-Berry bowl, Pom-Berry Smoothie and Cran-Cacao Protein Bites launched.
Meanwhile, at Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, it’s harissa time. New Harissa Orange Chicken, Harissa Hummus and Harissa Sauce are available for a limited time. At sister concept, The Simple Greek, Spicy Citrus Chicken, Spicy Citrus Hummus and Spicy Citrus Sauce debuted.
Saladworks limited-time menu items will run from from January 17 to May 8. The inventive menu items include the Warm Braised Beef Taco Fiesta, which is customizable as a wrap, warm grain bowl or salad. The Taco Fiesta features braised beef, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, corn, tortilla strips and salsa ranch dressing.
Also, the Mexican Meatball Soup comes in the form of a traditional Mexican style albondigas soup, with flavorful vegetables, hearty beef and pork meatballs, and finished off with spicy peppers, zesty lime juice, and cilantro.The online-only Braised Beef Quesadilla comes with braised beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and either white or wheat tortillas.
Frutta Bowls’ seasonal items will be available from January 17 through May 15, helping customers access immune-boosting properties. The Cacao-Berry Bowl, is prepared with an acai base and topped with blueberry flax granola, strawberries, blueberries, honey, dried cranberries, and cacao.
The Pom-Berry Smoothie is made with pomegranate juice, strawberries, blueberries, and honey. The Cran-Cacao Protein Bites are made using blueberry granola, almond butter, vanilla whey protein, honey, cacao, and dried cranberries.
Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh’s items, available from January 24 through April 30, bring on a multitude of globally-influenced zesty flavors. First, the Harissa Orange Chicken arrives as a build-your-own item, featuring chicken made with a spicy Harissa sauce and orange juice marinade.
Next, the Harissa Hummus comes to life after blending harissa with traditional hummus. And for the third item, Harissa Sauce combines harissa and orange juice.
The Simple Greek will offer the new menu items from January 24 through April 30. The Spicy Citrus Chicken comes as a gyro or bowl with build-your-own item qualities. It features chicken made with a spicy citrus sauce and orange juice marinade. Spicy citrus sauce combines with traditional hummus to create the Spicy Citrus Hummus. In addition, the Spicy Citrus Sauce blends harissa and orange juice.
“We wanted to introduce a variety of comfort food experiences with our new WOWorks menu items using a mix of heartening and invigorating ingredients and flavors, such as seasonal berries, braised beef, harissa and citrus,” said Kelly Roddy, chief executive of WOWorks, a wholly-owned entity of private equity firm Centre Lane Partners, LLC. “In a time when many people are trying to eat healthier, we wanted to make sure we could broaden their options of exciting, flavorful menu options that fulfill the body, as well as the soul.”
