Stoney Creek Biscuitville to celebrate grand opening with giveaways, donation to Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum
Biscuitville Fresh Southern is readying the grand opening of a new store in the Stoney Creek area of Whitsett, N.C. February 8, 2022. The biscuit-centric breakfast chain will celebrate the restaurant’s debut at 950 Golf House Road starting at 7 a.m.
As part of the celebration, customers will receive swag prizes between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. The Stoney Creek Biscuitville will dole out prizes while supplies last. In a giveaway, customers will have a chance to be one of 10 to win Free Breakfast for a Year. The week following the drawing, the store will contact the winners.
The Stoney Creek Biscuitville will also donate to the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum. As a state historic site,the institution presents “the larger themes of African-American history, women’s history, social history, and education, emphasizing the contributions African-Americans made in North Carolina,” according to its online profile. The Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum is located just minutes from the new restaurant.
The check to the museum will be presented at 2:15 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m.
“We are thrilled to support the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum with our donation and excited to announce the grand opening of our newest restaurant in the growing Stoney Creek community,” said Kathie Niven, Biscuitville president and chief executive. “Biscuitville is honored to help raise awareness about Dr. Brown’s legacy as we celebrate our newest location.”
For customers wanting to speed through quickly, the store will include a dual-lane drive-thru to reduce wait times. However, for those who want to linger and enjoy their meals in-restaurant, this Biscuitville will offer free Wi-Fi and electrical charging for devices.
On the outside, the restaurant will resemble a southern barn, with reclaimed appointments. These include a “tin roof, barn doors and gooseneck lights. Interior features that combine a modern look and feel with southern heritage through industrial hardware, blue painted ceilings inspired by southern porches, and mixed materials like wood, metal and tile,” according to Biscuitville’s announcement.
Plus, a photo mural wall will display scenes of the local Stoney Creek neighborhood and community. What’s more, the chain’s traditional Biscuitville Window displays its fresh biscuit-making process daily. In Whitsett, the enhanced beverage area will provide expanded drink selections, too, including Salisbury-based Cheerwine.
Founded in 1966, Biscuitville serves its Southern-style breakfast until 2 p.m. daily. The 66-unit chain operates stores in North Carolina and Virginia.
