Wendy’s Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Biscuit roll out nationwide

Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit first breakfast addition since 2020

Wendy’s added a Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit, expanding its Made to Crave line. The biscuit sandwich will be available during the breakfast daypart, while the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich will sell during the afternoon and evening dayparts.

The Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit features an all-white meat breakfast chicken fillet drizzled with hot honey sauce and served on a warm buttermilk biscuit. It is the first breakfast daypart addition since the QSR chain launched breakfast in 2020.

The Wendy’s Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich starts with a spicy all-white meat chicken breast. It is then topped with melted Pepper Jack cheese, three Applewood smoked bacon strips, and crispy pickle chips, drizzled with hot honey and nestled in a toasted premium bun. Brand marketing messaging calls out the balance of sweet and heat in the sandwich.

“Others may do chicken sandwiches, but at Wendy’s we actually craft chicken sandwiches with flavor,” said Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer at The Wendy’s Company. “As the Queen of Spice, we’re constantly looking for new ways to upgrade our already famous spicy chicken sandwich, and our talented culinary team knew we could bring the Hot Honey trend to the table in a way no one else could. The Hot Honey Duo brings the heat, and the sweet, to give our fans mouthwatering, all-day chicken sandwiches that are anything but McBland.”

Created in 2019, the Made to Crave line includes “craveable, mind blowing, unforgettable flavors via fan-favorite sandwiches, including: Big Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, and the Big Bacon Classic,” according to a company statement.

The Wendy’s Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich goes for $5.99 while the Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit sells for $3.19.
