Executive team members take on increased responsibility as Biscuitville initiates accelerated growth
Biscuitville promoted Jeff Linville to chief operations officer (COO) and Jess Williams to chief people officer (CPO). In addition, the southern-style breakfast chain named Blake Jennings VP of development and facilities, and Alon Vanterpool, director of internal communications. The 67-unit chain announced these promotions, which are part of a push to strategically accelerate its growth.
In the position of COO, Linville takes on a supporting role as the chain expands into new markets. Plus, he will take on leadership and personal responsibilities, enhancing the careers of Biscuitville operations team members. As a member of the Executive Team, Linville will “improve efficiencies that will result in a better guest experience,” according to a statement from Biscuitville.
He joined the restaurant chain in August 2020, overseeing all field operations. Linville will continue to report to Kathie Niven, Biscuitville president and chief executive.
As chief people officer, Williams joins Biscuitville’s Executive Team. In charge of people excellence and organizational design, Williams will spearhead key growth pillars. These include employee engagement, organizational systems & policies, compensation modeling and succession planning. Formerly VP of people excellence, she has served on the Leadership Team since 2019.

Appointed to the Executive Team and formerly director of development, Blake is the grandson of Maurice Jennings, Biscuitville founder. A director since 2018, he will now build the chain’s development pipeline as VP of development and facilities. He will continue to lead the facilities team, reporting to CFO Kevin Bennett.
Biscuitville also promoted Vanterpool from marketing manager to director of Internal Communications. In her new role, she will develop a communications strategy for the 2,000 employee members of Biscuitville. Vanterpool, who joined the company in 2019, will continue to report to VP of Brand and Marketing Kristie Mitchell.
