East Coast Wings + Grill promotes Whitney Mann to EVP of Operations

18-year veteran of casual-dining chain charged with advancing sustainable growth

East Coast Wings + Grill promoted Whitney Mann to executive vice president of Operations from VP of Field Operations. Mann has spent 18 years with the company, rising through the ranks after joining as a server. The casual-dining chain suggested her “leadership traits and tenacity” were apparent and helped her move up.

Long history with company

Whitney started as a server in 2004 before being promoted to general manager of the restaurant in King, N.C. in 2007. Interested in the corporate side of the business, she moved to work as an administrative assistant at corporate in 2008. In a relatively short time, Whitney earned several promotions to key positions within the organization. These roles included corporate training coordinator, unit level systems analyst, brand field consultant, director of functional analytics, and her most-recent post of VP of Field Operations.

Mann commented, “Having done every job at the restaurant level and by gaining additional experience at corporate, I have a unique perspective that has helped me provide strong operational guidance across the organization. I know the day-to-day challenges franchisees and their employees face on the front-lines. Since my career began with East Coast Wings + Grill 18 years ago, I’ve been focused on going the extra mile—whether it’s for customers, fellow employees or franchisees. A pivotal role for brand growth

After a record-breaking 2021, Mann takes on the implementation of sustainable brand growth. As executive vice president of Operations, ensuring franchisees and their teams maintain brand compliance will become a top priority. Also, monitoring marketing and social media trends will fare prominently in the new role. This facet will maintain the brand’s “best-in-class technologies and resources,” according to East Coast Wings + Grill.
