Zaxby’s Signature Club Sandwich rolls out systemwide

Reformulated menu addition will replace existing Zaxby’s Club

Zaxby’s added a new, reformulated Signature Club Sandwich to its sandwich line. Last year, the brand introduced The Signature Sandwich in March after successfully testing it in October of 2020. This new Zaxby’s Signature Club Sandwich builds on that successful rollout.

The new club adds two slices of bacon and American Cheese with a choice of Zax sauce or Spicy Zax sauce. This enhanced club sandwich will replace the Zaxby’s Club that had been on the menu.

“With the launch of our new Signature Club Sandwich, we created our own club remix of the Signature Sandwich and turned it up a notch,” said Joel Bulger, Zaxby’s chief marketing officer. “Knowing our ‘fanz,’ we are giving them something additional to rave about and announce a well-kept secret. Our Signature Sandwich is officially here to stay as a permanent menu item.”

During the beta of the Signature Sandwich, the chicken fast-casual chain found it exceeded the original filet’s performance by 600%.

The Signature Sandwich features a double, hand-breaded filet and is topped with three thick-sliced, crinkle-cut pickles. Zaxby’s restaurants serve the item on a toasted, split-top potato bun. Last year, the sandwich proved to be a winner—literally—taking home the annual Fasties by Thrillist prize. It won the award in the fast-casual category for Best Fried Chicken Sandwich.

The club sandwich, which includes the double, hand-breaded filet rolled out last year, lands at Zaxby’s restaurants systemwide. The meal version comes with crinkle fries and a drink.
