El Pollo Loco launches three entrees with Mexican Shredded Beef Birria

Mexican QSR adds Quesadilla, Crunchy Tacos, Burrito

El Pollo Loco rolled out Shredded Beef Birria Quesadilla, Shredded Beef Birria Crunchy Tacos and Shredded Beef Birria Burrito. The new items are part of the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based chain’s limited-time Mexican Shredded Beef Birria rollout.

Birria has been trending on menus over the past couple of years. The recipe of traditional beef or goat stew with spices has been passed down through generations, noted the Mexican QSR chain.

The three new entrees of Mexican Shredded Beef Birria come with a birria consomé. Customers can use the slow-simmered, savory beef broth, infused with garlic, chili, and lime for dipping.

The El Pollo Loco Shredded Beef Birria Stuffed Quesadilla features shredded beef birria, melty cheese, fresh avocado, chopped onions, and cilantro. Shredded Beef Birria Burrito comes filled with shredded beef birria, cheese, sour cream, rice, beans, cabbage, chopped onions, and cilantro.

El Pollo Loco Shredded Beef Birria Quesadilla, Shredded Beef Birria Crunchy Tacos and Shredded Beef Birria Burrito are available systemwide through June 1.
