Moe’s names Annica Conrad VP of marketing; Mike Smith, VP of operations

Executives bring four decades of combined experience

Moe’s Southwest Grill named Annica Conrad vice president of marketing and Mike Smith vice president of operations. With these new hires, Moe’s will strengthen its leadership team as it reinvigorates the brand, suggested executives.

Most recently, Conrad worked at Fat Brands. In her latest position there, she served as chief marketing officer of the QSR Division. She will tap her expertise in consumer marketing, cultivated working at the enterprise level for Fat Brands. Her work supported a global portfolio of five brands with over 1,400 locations.

“Moe’s is currently in the middle of a transformation, and we are committed to revitalizing the brand through improved operations and brand positioning in the marketplace,” said Tory Bartlett, chief brand officer for Moe’s Southwest Grill. “Annica and Mike have a combined 40+ years of restaurant operations and consumer marketing experience, and with their expertise and leadership, I am confident in the brand’s forward momentum.”

Smith served as chief operating officer of Taziki’s for the past two year. There, he oversaw in-restaurant technology, training, supply chain and purchasing, and store support teams. Plus, prior to Taziki’s, he worked at Hooters. Between the two chains, Smith accumulated two decades of restaurant operations experience.

In March, Tory Bartlett joined Moe’s as chief brand officer.

Conrad and Smith will report directly to Tory, leading marketing and operations functions for Moe’s Southwest Grill. With these latest appointments, the leadership team at Moe’s is complete, revealed the chain.
