US Foods plans Spartanburg, S.C. Chef’Store opening

US Foods will open a new Chef’Store in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The new outlet for US Foods cash-and-carry chain becomes the fourth store in the state. Three existing South Carolina stores are located in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Columbia.

The store, which is located at 300 West Blackstock Road, spans 33,000-square feet. Executives expect the store to open this fall.

“We are excited to join the ‘Hub City’,” said John Mathews, vice president of sales and marketing for Chef’Store. “Spartanburg is a thriving city with a vibrant restaurant and culinary scene, and we look forward to serving the community with competitively priced, restaurant-quality products.”

Offering over 4,000 restaurant-quality products, including fresh meat, produce, dairy, deli items and frozen seafood, Chef’Store is a one-stop-shop. Restaurant operators, food industry professionals, community groups, and at-home chefs are a core group of customers for the brand.

The Chef’Store is also open to the public during the entire week and the store requires no membership.


After the opening of the Spartanburg Chef’Store, US Foods’ portfolio of will grow to 83 locations within the continental United States.

US Foods finalized the purchase of Smart Foodservice Warehouse in April 2020. It later rebranded the chain as US Foods Chef’Store.
