Burger chain also adds limited-time menu items, launches Summer Vacation Sweepstakes
Wayback Burgers began featuring limited-time shakes, including a Sour Patch Kids Shake, and added Nashville Hot Chicken and The Works Dog, plus additional menu items. The Cheshire, Conn.-based restaurant chain will also host its Free Shake Day June 25.
The summer menu will feature Nashville Hot Chicken, prepared with breaded chicken, tossed with Nashville Hot Sauce, and topped with pickles (available June 6 – September 9); Jalapeño Ranch Fries, drizzled in Ranch and topped with jalapeños (available June 6 – September 9); and The Works Dog, which starts with a grilled hot dog, which is served on a brioche bun, topped with onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and Wayback’s works mustard (available beginning June 6).
This year, Wayback will host its annual Free Shake Day June 25, the first Saturday of summer. Customers can receive a free 12-ounce chocolate shake in store; no purchase is necessary. In addition, from June 25 to July 24, guests can enter Wayback’s Summer Vacation Sweepstakes. The sweepstakes provides a way to win a grand prize of $5,000 towards an “unforgettable summer getaway,” announced Wayback.
The winner will be selected August 1. Participants are asked to text the keyword “vacation” to 833-990-0950 to automatically be entered.
“We cannot think of a better way to kick off summer than the indulgence of one of our hand-crafted milkshakes. Offering our chocolate shake for free is a perfect nod to the nostalgia that both summer and the Wayback brand brings to our guests,” said Patrick Conlin, president of Wayback Burgers. “We hope to have many folks take advantage of this fun opportunity. It also provides an occasion to enjoy one of our new menu items we are cooking up special for summer.”
The limited-time Sour Patch Kids Shake will remain on the menu until July 8.
