Dual drive-thru, dining-room-less store leverages efficiencies, speed of service of digital order-ahead
A Taco Bell Go Mobile location has opened in North Las Vegas. Diversified Restaurant Group, a multibrand quick-service franchisee debuted the first such unit in the Western United States.
Designed with two drive-thrus—one for mobile order ahead & delivery and the other for traditional vehicle ordering—the design concept at 2224 East Craig Road should speed customers through, according to Diversified. The restaurant offers no seating but has a covered patio outside. Customers can also place orders for pick-up or outdoor patio dining.
“Taco Bell is a significant part of the DRG portfolio and we are thrilled to be part of the exciting growth and evolution of the brand by bringing this new concept to Las Vegas,” said SG Ellison, Diversified Restaurant Group’s president. “This location is our first Go Mobile and is particularly special, as we’ve recently opened corporate headquarters in the market. We’re delighted to have this location in our backyard and be able to celebrate and share this momentous occasion with our new neighbors.”
During a preview day in which DoorDash drivers were invited, turnout was robust. The more-than-200 drivers that attended were offered a free combo meal of their choice for their attendance. Diversified noted it was an opportunity for the drivers to experience how fast the drive-thru could be.
The Las Vegas Taco Bell Go Mobile will feature the chain’s Mexican-inspired fan favorites of tacos, burritos, nachos, and bites. With the Taco Bell app, guests will be able to order ahead from this new location for a speedy order-and-pickup experience. Announced in 2020, Taco Bell’s modern Go Mobile prototype has been joined by a new Defy concept, debuting this year in Minneapolis.
