Debut of steak protein option first such addition in eight years at salad-kitchen chain
Salata will add Certified Angus Beef Steak as its newest protein option. The 80-unit fast-casual salad-kitchen chain will begin offering Certified Angus Beef steak July 26 along with two featured items, Raise the Steak Wrap and Raise the Steak Salad.
The fast casual also indicated that the steak will be the chain’s first protein addition in eight years.
“The core of Salata’s concept is to allow our guests to salad how they feel, and by adding steak to our lineup we open up an entire new world of flavor combinations to our guests,” said Michelle Bythewood, Salata president. “The addition of a quality, high protein option like steak will add value to our guests’ meals while also providing a heartier choice for those looking for a more substantial lunch or dinner.”
The Salata Raise the Steak Wrap will feature Certified Angus Beef Steak, salata mix, tomato, corn, black beans, mixed cheese, red onion, cilantro, and chipotle ranch.
The Raise the Steak Salad includes Certified Angus Beef steak, salata mix, tomato, jicama, red onion, black beans, corn, cilantro, feta, jalapenos, pumpkin seed, jalapeno avocado dressing.
Added Bythewood, “Steak is the perfect expansion of the proteins we currently offer, while also providing a completely new way to approach salad and wrap creation for our guests.”
Salata restaurants prepare fruits, vegetables and lean proteins inhouse, chopped daily. The salad kitchen chain, offers five salad bases, more than 50 toppings, and 11 house-made, gluten-free dressings.
The Salata Raise the Steak Wrap and Salad will be available for a limited time at locations nationwide.
