Jollibee opens restaurant in Jamaica, Queens, New York

New store marks second Queens opening

Jollibee will open a new restaurant in Queens, New York in the Jamaica neighborhood on July 21. The opening will mark the second location in Queens and the 59th overall US store. Jollibee previously opened a restaurant in Manhattan and another in Woodside, Queens.

The Jamaica Jollibee will be located downtown at 16008 Jamaica Avenue. Jollibee plans for the store to be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Jollibee’s Chickenjoy—its signature fried chicken in spicy or original options—will headline the menu. Jollibee touts the crispiness and crunchiness of its Chickenjoy fried chicken’s exterior, and juiciness on the inside, which is a result of a pressure-fried cooking process. A silky gravy can accompany the chicken for the full experience.

Jolly Spaghetti is another fan favorite, which comes with sweet-style sauce, loaded with chunky slices of savory ham and hotdog, topped with cheese.

“We are so excited to expand our presence in Queens, as it is home to such a beautiful, dynamic melting pot of people from all different backgrounds and cultures,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, business group head, Honeybee Foods Corporation dba Jollibee. “While Jollibee was founded in the Philippines, we believe that great taste knows no boundaries; Queens County is one of America’s most diverse populations, which makes it a perfect fit for exposing our brand to a broader audience who have yet to discover our special brand of joy.”

Queens is the largest and fastest growing of New York City’s five boroughs, notes the West Covina-based US division of Jollibee. The neighborhood in this Southeast corner of Queens, where the Jamaica Jollibee will open, has close proximity to York College and many independent businesses that serve and employ the community in the area.
