Sonic Pickle Juice Slush, Big Dill Cheeseburger return nationwide

Sonic Drive-In returned its Pickle Juice Slush and Big Dill Cheeseburger. The limited-time, pickle-centric additions are sure to bring added traffic to the QSR chain’s stores. The Pickle Juice Slush, in particular, dates back to 2018. Sonic reports that it has been one of the most frequently requested menu items on social media.

The Sonic Pickle Juice Slush represents a marriage of salty dill pickle flavor with sweet slush, producing a tart treat. Customers will note it is reminiscent of a sip out of a pickle jar. For the budget conscious, Sonic extended a half-price special on the Pickle Juice Slush when ordering on the Sonic App. Customers can also add pickle juice flavoring to any Sonic drink for an additional charge.

As for the Big Dill Cheeseburger, its last foray on the menu ended in a sellout. The pickle-themed cheeseburger comes with pickle fries, crinkle cut pickle slices and creamy, ranch sauce on a 100% seasoned beef patty. Restaurants finish it off with chopped lettuce and melty American cheese, all served on a toasted brioche bun. Sonic priced the cheeseburger at $4.49, which will add to its appeal.

“Our pickle-forward menu innovations have become some of our most popular, so much so that they’ve often sold out quicker than we anticipated,” said Mackenzie Gibson, VP of culinary & menu innovation at Sonic. “Our pickle-obsessed guests have been patiently waiting for their return, and we’re very excited to offer them once again for a limited time. Sonic Drive-In is known for experimenting with delicious flavor combinations that surprise your taste buds and cure your cravings, so the Pickle Juice Slush and Big Dill Cheeseburger are perfect for those who can’t get enough pickles this summer!”

Pickle fries also made their return as a snacking option. For a limited-time, Sonic will offer the pickle fries, priced at $1.89.
