Chicken QSR opening in Pennsylvania marks milestone first Pennsylvania store
Jollibee opened its 85th store in North America in Philadelphia. The quick-serve restaurant at 7340 Bustleton Avenue in the Northeast section of the city marks the debut of the brand in Pennsylvania. Marcus McClam was one such local resident and fan who became the first official customer of the Philadelphia Jollibee.
“We are thrilled that opening day is finally here,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, president of Jollibee Group North America. “It has been a goal of ours to open a location in Philadelphia for some time and we are honored to be a part of this extraordinary city. We are truly humbled by the warm and joyful welcome we received on opening day, and we are grateful to be part of this dynamic city full of rich history, culture, and incredible food. With every store opening, it is an honor to continue introducing people to the Jollibee brand and we look forward to doing so as we expand across North America.”
Jollibee’s Chickenjoy has become a signature and customer-favorite menu item. The marinated, fried chicken comes hand-breaded and cooked with precision, the chain says. The chicken QSR chain also offers Spicy Chickenjoy, a hot version of the product. Its Chicken Sandwich offers up a crispy chicken breast fillet, spread with umami mayo, and served on a toasted brioche bun. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich features sriracha mayo and fresh jalapeños. For dessert, customers can select the top-seller Peach Mango Pie, prepared with peaches and real Philippine mangoes enveloped in a crispy crust.
McClam noted, “I am excited to taste the chicken and the chicken sandwich. The first thing I am going to do as soon as I enter the door is order the six-piece bucket of chicken—I’ve heard amazing things about it!”
The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
