Companies will expand robotics use in foodservice, create training center, develop fulfillment
AI Robotics company Nala Robotics reached an agreement with Saudi Excellence Company, a Riyadh-based tech company, to expand foodservice robotics applications in the Kingdom. This new deal will provide for developing the market and delivering autonomous food services to Saudi Arabia.
The partners forged the partnership during the Global AI Summit 2022 in Riyadh, taking place this week. As part of the agreement, Nala and Saudi Excellence will build Saudi Arabia’s first fully-autonomous eatery, serving a selection of Saudi and Middle Eastern dishes.

The partners will move purposefully toward these short-and-long term goals:
- Establish a R&D center for artificial intelligence and machine learning robotics.
- And set up Saudi Arabia’s first AI-based robotic cloud kitchen that will prepare and cook Shawarma, Doner, Tamiya and other Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Plus, create a training center for AI robotics engineers and techs.
- Furthermore, build a regional center for sales, marketing and fulfillment across the Middle East and North Africa markets.
