Native Foods, Next Level Burger launch plant-based turkey sandwiches ahead of holiday season

Two fast-casual chains release limited-time, Thanksgiving-themed sandwiches, menu items

Two plant-forward restaurant chains added limited-time menu offerings, including The Gobbler and Turkey Leftovers Sandwich. As the holiday season gets into full gear, Next Level Burger and Native Foods released their creative versions of plant-based turkey. As vegan and vegetarian diets remain popular, the moves appear on trend.

Next Level Burger began offering The Gobbler, a crispy, golden turk’y patty, smothered with housemade holiday gravy and topped with multigrain stuffing and tangy cranberry sauce. These ingredients come served on a butter-toasted white bun. The 9-unit chain activated a Buy One, Give One offer to benefit nonprofits feeding people in need.

In addition, the fast casual is serving up a Banana Cream Pie Shake. The decadent beverage is prepared with organic bananas and gluten-free graham cracker pie crust blended. These ingredients are blended with customers’ choice of organic coconut or soy soft serve. Restaurants finish off the Banana Cream Pie Shake with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of GF graham cracker pie crust.

Next Level Burger also released an Organic Pumpkin Pie Shake, prepared with organic pumpkin and spices, and a Candied Pecan Pie Shake, made with chopped pecans and organic vanilla.

Vegan fast-casual Native Foods added the Turkey Leftovers Sandwich, which is a Chef’s Special of 2022 feature, ahead of Thanksgiving. Appropriately, the sandwich launched on National Vegan Day—November 1, 2022.

The Turkey Leftovers Sandwich includes plant-based roasted turkey slices, pickled cranberries, sweet potato fries and homestyle gravy on a toasted baguette.

The featured sandwich comes with a side, such as steamed kale with lemon. Guests can select a premium side, like mac and cheese or the newly-released tomato bisque, for a $1.50 upcharge.

A new Pumpkin Cheesecake Parfait landed on the Native Foods menu, too. It features pumpkin creme, cheesecake creme, and gingersnap cookie crumbles.

The Native Foods Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich will remain on the menu throughout the whole month of November at all of its locations.
