El Pollo Loco heats up menu with Overstuffed Quesadillas

Chipolte Chicken, Shredded Beef Avocado, Poblano Chicken roll out at locations systemwide

El Pollo Loco launched three new Overstuffed Quesadillas, for a limited time, in Chipotle Chicken, Shredded Beef Avocado, and Poblano Chicken varieties. Ingredients, like Chipotles, shredded beef and poblanos are elevating the depth of flavor in these new overflowing quesadillas, the chicken QSR chain suggested.

Andy Rebhun, chief marketing officer, at El Pollo Loco, commented, “Our team has a lot of passion for creating something truly premium and portable in a way that only El Pollo Loco can. After the success of our Shredded Beef Birria introduction earlier this year, we knew we wanted to offer our guests even more flavor-first ways to fuel up during one of the busiest times of the year.”

Wrapped in flour tortillas, the new menu additions are grilled golden-brown:

  • The Chipotle Chicken Overstuffed Quesadilla features signature fire-grilled chicken, melted Jack cheese, salsa roja, sour cream, and pico de gallo.
  • Shredded Beef Avocado Overstuffed Quesadilla includes savory shredded beef, melted Jack cheese, avocado salsa, onion, cilantro, and avocado slices.
  • Poblano Chicken Overstuffed Quesadilla combines the chain’s signature fire-grilled chicken, melted Jack cheese, creamy cilantro, fire-grilled Poblano peppers, pico de gallo, and guacamole.

“The culinary team at El Pollo Loco has been acutely focused on bringing bold new flavor experiences to our familia of fans and customers,” said Heather Gardea, VP of research and development at El Pollo Loco. “These Overstuffed Quesadillas are jam packed with bold spices, savory meat and freshly prepared ingredients and provide guests with a fun new way to enjoy the quintessential quality of El Pollo Loco cuisine.”

El Pollo Loco Overstuffed Quesadillas will remain on the menu at restaurants systemwide through December 28.
