Applebee’s returns Sizzlin’ Skillets to restaurants nationwide

Chicken & Shrimp Scampi, Garlic Parmesan Sirloin, Sizzlin’ Cheddar Bacon skillets debut

Applebee’s Sizzlin’ Skillets, including Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, returned to participating locations nationwide. The value-priced, limited-time Sizzlin’ Skillets have been a popular draw for the casual-dining chain. This year, three new skillets—Chicken & Shrimp Scampi Skillet, Garlic Parmesan Sirloin Skillet and Sizzlin’ Cheddar Bacon—join the Bourbon Street faves, including Bourbon Street Steak.

Commenting on the 2022 return of the skillets, Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer at Applebee’s, said, “Our Sizzlin’ Skillets are the perfect way for our guests to warm up this winter. Applebee’s Sizzlin’ Skillets – new for 2022

These Applebee’s Sizzlin’ Skillets are expected to have broad appeal:

  • Chicken & Shrimp Scampi Skillet serves up sliced grilled chicken breast, paired with sautéed shrimp, in a garlicky lemon butter sauce. The dish comes sizzling with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli.
  • Garlic Parmesan Sirloin Skillet features a 6-ounce USDA Select top sirloin, grilled and sliced over garlic mashed potatoes, smothered in a sizzlin’ buttery garlic Parmesan sauce. The Skillet comes topped with crispy onions and paired with broccoli, too. In addition, guests can upgrade this skillet to an 8-ounce portion for an upcharge.
  • Sizzlin’ Cheddar Bacon & Chicken Skillet includes sliced grilled chicken breast with melted Cheddar cheese, Applewood-smoked bacon, and garlic mashed potatoes. The dish is topped with a rich Parmesan cream sauce and paired with steamed broccoli.

Classic Sizzlin’ Skillets

What’s more, Applebee’s returned two classic skillets, as well:

  • Bourbon Street Steak features a grilled 8-ounce USDA Select top sirloin jazzed up with Cajun spices in buttery garlic and parsley, served with sizzling sautéed mushrooms, onions and garlic mashed potatoes.
  • Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp includes Cajun-seasoned chicken and blackened shrimp, jazzed up in buttery garlic and parsley, and served with sizzling sautéed mushrooms, onions and garlic mashed potatoes.

Glendale, Calif.-based Applebee’s noted that selection and pricing will vary at participating restaurants.
