Three-decade food and beverage veteran set to lead culinary evolution at IHOP
IHOP named Arthur Carl II vice president, culinary. A three-decade veteran of the food and beverage industry, Carl will drive the evolution of the IHOP menu, the family-dining chain said in a statement.
“Art’s decades of crafting dishes to satisfy guests’ appetites has demonstrated that he is an innovator in his field, and we welcome this expertise and skill into his new role at IHOP,” said Kieran Donahue, chief marketing officer. “Success in this position requires skills across culinary innovation, franchised restaurants, and product sourcing, among others, and we are confident in Art’s abilities to perform above and beyond in each of these areas.”
Carl has spent thirty years in several roles at hospitality groups, restaurants and breweries. Most recently, he served as vice president, culinary and beverage R&D at Dave & Buster’s. There, he received industry recognition for his commitment to launching new menu items. Carl also spearheaded culinary and beverage strategy and innovation at Dave & Buster’s.
