Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina rolled out Lifestyle Bowl, Lifestyle Salad and Avocado Tomatillo Salsa. The new lifestyle-oriented menu items debut as consumers reflect on their diet. The limited-time offerings will run from January 9 to April 2, 2023.
Barberitos’ Lifestyle Bowl, which weighs in under 600 calories, features tofu, rice, black beans, shredded cheese, pico, corn, salsa, cilantro, and avocado tomatillo salsa.
The Lifestyle Salad, ringing in under 500 calories, includes chicken, romaine lettuce, black beans, shredded cheese, pico, corn salsa, cilantro, and avocado tomatillo salsa.
A new blend of tomatillo salsa, avocado, and diced jalapenos comes together as the Avocado Tomatillo Salsa.
“With the launch of our new LTOs, we’re continuing our commitment to providing our guests with healthy, craveable, and affordable menu options,” said John Geyerman, chief brand officer of Barberitos, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, and The Simple Greek. “Especially with the Super Bowl and March Madness gatherings on the horizon, we look forward to being able to provide delicious menu items to our guests so they can snack, guilt-free, during the game.”
WOWorks, Saladworks’ parent, acquired Barberitos last May. For new franchisees, the company initiated a promotion, taking 25% off franchise fees. According to an announcement, a total of 49 states remain as targeted franchise markets.
The chain is also reigniting its catering program.
