Focus Brands names Julie Younglove-Webb chief brand officer, Auntie Anne’s

multi-unit franchisor also hires Jim Cannon for SVP of design and construction role, Chris Newman, SVP of real estate position

Focus Brands named Julie Younglove-Webb chief brand officer of Auntie Anne’s. In addition, it hired Jim Cannon as SVP of design and construction and appointed Chris Newman to the role of SVP of real estate. Focus Brands operates and franchises the Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Jamba, McAlister’s Deli, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Schlotzsky’s brands.

Younglove-Webb will lead Auntie Anne’s overall strategy and execution across marketing and operations. She has an established history within the retail and restaurant industries. Given her experience in leadership, and working with different functional teams, Younglove-Webb will propel Auntie Anne’s ahead, suggested a statement.

Previously, she worked at Domino’s Pizza. There, she held the role of SVP of corporate operations in the United States. Before Domino’s, Younglove-Webb served as chief restaurant operations officer among other leadership positions at Potbelly Sandwich Works over an 11-year period.

As SVP of design & construction, Cannon will provide strategic leadership to the design and construction department in developing and managing the portfolio of the brands’ prototypes. This ensures locations are successfully designed, built and opened on time and within budget.

Cannon spent a 40-year career in the construction industry, holding several key roles in design & development for QSR brands, including at Inspire Brands, Arby’s, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, and Jack in the Box.

With a deep-rooted expertise, as well as leadership strength, Cannon elevates focal aspects of construction. Supporting Focus Brands’ growth, he will optimize locations, space, functionality, and attractiveness.

As SVP of real estate, Newman will oversee all aspects of Focus Brands’ real estate strategy to rekindle growth in the brands. Newman comes from Next Chapter Properties LLC, where he led the development of multifamily communities in four states as the group’s director of real estate.

Before working at Next Chapter, he spent 12 years as the director of real estate for Jimmy John’s. His expertise in real estate transactions, over the years, and robust industry knowledge will give him a leg up in his new role.
