Saucy Brisket Poblano Taco also returns as permanent menu item
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop returned the Spicy Chimi Fajita Taco and Saucy Brisket Poblano Taco to the menu. The returning tacos will be permanent menu items moving forward.
The Spicy Chimi Fajita Taco, which was originally available at Fuzzy’s in early 2021, became the Mexican-style chain’s second-highest selling taco LTO in the past five years. During its promotion, the Spicy Chimi Fajita Taco accounted for 8.4% of transactions.
The fan favorite comes in a lightly-fried flour tortilla with Fuzzy’s signature garlic sauce, shredded cheese, grilled fajita beef or fajita chicken, and pico de gallo, topped with a house-made spicy chimichurri sauce. Fuzzy’s Spicy Chimichurri features fresh parsley, cilantro, jalapeños, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt.
The Saucy Brisket Poblano Taco includes shredded brisket drizzled with a special Butt Burnin’ sauce, blended with Dr. Pepper, and topped with roasted poblano peppers, house-pickled red onions, avocado slices, Fuzzy’s signature garlic sauce, feta, and cilantro on a warm flour tortilla. The taco’s last appearance on the menu came in 2022. It was widely popular as customers requested its return, the Baja-style taco-shop chain revealed.
“Our goal with our limited-time tacos is to introduce new flavor profiles to the menu in a unique and creative way utilizing premium proteins and ingredients,” says chef Josh Diekman, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop executive chef. “Both of these tacos were fan favorites during their time on our menu, so it felt like a natural decision to bring them back so our guests can enjoy them once again.”
