Veteran marketer brings three decades of experience to the role
Church’s Texas Chicken named Natalia Franco executive vice president, global chief marketing officer. The newly-hired leader started her role today, March 6. According to a a statement, Franco will drive brand awareness and positioning, with the net effect of growing the Church’s Texas Chicken and Texas Chicken brands and fortifying its franchise relationships.
Franco, a restaurant industry veteran, has three decades of leadership experience. Before joining Church’s Texas Chicken, she served in several high-profile executive roles. At California Pizza Kitchen, she held the position of strategy officer. Meanwhile, at Brandmark Global, LLC, a company Franco founded, she served as president.
At Dine Brands Global, Franco held the role of SVP and CMO of IHOP, while global CMO, EVP at Burger King. More recently, at Focus Brands, she was promoted to marketing SVP for the non-restaurant brands including Jamba, Auntie Ann’s, Cinnabon and Carvel. Before the promotion, she served as CMO of McAlister’s Deli.
“Natalia is a veteran marketing executive with whom I previously worked during a major brand acceleration. Her vision for brand positioning and her leadership in building great teams is very strong. Natalia’s expertise will be key as we continue to strengthen and grow this beloved brand,” said Joe Guith, chief executive of Church’s Texas Chicken and Texas Chicken.
Due to her experiences, Franco has developed P&L management, business development, portfolio management, and profit optimization skills during her career. In addition, she is seasoned in customer relationship management and leadership development, as well as core competencies needed in the QSR segment, Church’s suggested.
