Mr Gatti’s Pizza inks deal to expand in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri

Mr Gatti’s Pizza signed a development agreement with Brent Swadley for Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. The deal calls for 17 units to be opened over six years.

The pizza chain is in expansion mode. Counting pipeline and open stores, Mr Gatti’s Pizza tallies more than 130 restaurants, according to Travis Smith, vice president of marketing.

He added, “This deal is significant for both the number of locations awarded and the expansion of our brand’s presence in key markets, particularly Oklahoma, where we’re re-entering after seven years.”

Franchise partner Swadley founded Swadley BBQ and serves as its president. The business is the largest BBQ provider in the state of Oklahoma. He operates eight stores, a catering kitchen and Swadley’s Emergency Relief Team.

“I grew up with Mr Gatti’s and it’s an honor to now join the MGP family,” said Swadley. “Mr. Gatti’s has an incredible leadership team dedicated to restoring and growing the brand with a continued focus on using high-quality ingredients and providing exceptional service in a food-first, family-centric atmosphere.”
